The Book Operation: Service Members and Veterans Call for Courage and Accountability for the DOD COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate

On Independence Day 2023, Skyhorse Publishing and Children’s Health Defense published Navy Commander Robert A. Green Jr’s new book, Defending the Constitution Behind Enemy Lines: A Story of Hope for Those Who Love Liberty, which is an explosive, tell-all book, detailing the military COVID-19 vaccine mandate, and the resistance to that mandate by service members who risked everything to uphold their oaths.

The story of First Lieutenant Mark C. Bashaw is one of many featured in Commander Green’s book. Lieutenant Bashaw served as a Public Health Officer and a Company Commander at the Army Public Health Center from January 2020 to June 2023. In November 2021, he became a whistleblower against what he referred to as the Medical Military Industrial Complex, which encompassed the experimental COVID-19 products (masks, tests, and injections), propagandized risk communication strategies, psychological operations, discrimination, and unlawful orders that were weaponized against service members and civilians alike, during the Department of Defense’s COVID-19 Vaccine mandate. Ultimately, Lieutenant Bashaw was convicted in a Court Martial and eliminated from Service for his protected communications to his chain of command, Congress, and his refusal to participate with the tyrannical mandates. In total, Lieutenant Bashaw served faithfully to the U.S. Constitution for 17.5 years of active duty service in our Armed Forces.

Countless veterans and current service members endorsed this book without hesitation as they saw the parallels of their own individual experiences brilliantly captured in detail throughout the book as it explores the unlawful conduct which occurred, stories of courage for those who stood up for the rights of America’s sons & daughters currently serving, and the various efforts to call for accountability. After reading this book, several veterans and current service members decided to build on the work of Navy Commander Robert Green and spread awareness of what occurred to individuals currently serving in senior positions in order to advocate for our service members and call for accountability.

Former Army Lieutenant Colonel Brad Miller, who resigned due to the mandate after 19 years of honorable service, recently wrote about the Book Operation in a Substack Article which included copies of the accompanying letters sent to the recipients. Additionally, he hosted a video discussion with several patriots involved in the distribution of these books to explain their perspective and why they felt called to be a part of this.
