‘Only top-level resignations can restore trust in US military leadership’ says Navy Commander, Robert Green

For the last several decades, the once indomitable spirit of America’s fighting force has eroded due to the price paid in blood for what turned out to be meaningless wars.

In recent years, the politicization of the military has accelerated and senior leaders weaponized politicized medical requirements to weed out service members of conscience.

The resulting recruiting crisis is the natural consequence of these actions and more importantly, the inaction of senior military leaders who should have protected service members from these harms.

Recruiting will not improve until trust is restored, and trust cannot be restored until these leaders are held accountable.

In the absence of actionable legal remedies due to compromised leadership, the best option left is for the senior leaders responsible to take the initiative, own their failures, and resign.
